Spirited Snowmen

Hi Everyone! Thank you so much for joining me today ! Recently I saw a post on our Stampin’Up demonstrator group page using the snowmen and I absolutely loved the way the lady had colored the snowman, so that night when I got home from work, I set to try to duplicate the look. The original post was by a demonstrator named Christi Wroe. I don’t know if she has a blog, but if she does I will link it. This is what I came up with.

So then fast forward to this week. I was looking at these guys trying to figure out how I was going to use them on a card. I had nothing concrete, but I thought they definitely needed some snow, because, hello, they are snowmen. I dug out my embossing paste which, to be honest, I probably havent used since last year. I had mixed the dazzling diamonds in it to make it sparkly and smeared it around on the page a bit.

I got this effect and then I thought, oh my goodness, that one snowman looks like he’s making a snow angel, so I covered him completely with paste and then took only a bit off where the snowman was laying and smeared it in a way to make it look right.

How cute!!!! I absolutely love how he looks, that embossing paste was exactly the touch I needed!! Here are the finished cards.

I mean…. Really!!! So adorable!!

Thank again for joining me today! If you like what you see and would like to place an order please feel free to comment or send me a message to anita.wifladt@gmail.com.

Candy Cane Season

Two days in a row! Look at me go! I’m actually hoping to provide you with a lot of content regarding the new 2018 Stampin’Up Catalogue that will be available to you on September 5.

Today we are looking the Candy Cane Season bundle which comes with a stamp set and a punch. It really is adorable.

Aren’t these images adorable? You might be wondering if that paper is designer series paper, but I can tell you it is not. I made that myself and I think it is so cute, it would be great for making your own wrapping paper with, but I did cut it up and use it for a card.

See that Christmas die cut? That is part of another set in the catalogue as well and I will tell you about that one another time.

Here is a final card I made using the Candy cane season set. I think this card is adorable too. I love that little bow. There are other really cute images that can be used for other cards and tags and such.

Thank you for checking out my creation today. I hope I’ve inspired your wish list this year. If you don’t have a demonstrator and need a catalog please contact me and I will be happy to get you one. anita.wifladt@gmail.com

Christmas in August?!?!

I know what your thinking, can we just have our summer? I know I love summer but it’s not my favorite. I’m more of a fall girl. Do you know what happens in August though? Demonstrators get a look at the 2018 Holiday catalogue, and, we get to pre-order. I have to tell you that stampin up does not disappoint with their holiday selections and Christmas is my absolute favorite season, so on Friday when I got my happy parcel I could not wait to rip into it.

I got so many great things but the first thing that caught my attention was the set called signs of santa. There is an entire suite and everything in it is adorable and I will show you everything but today I am going to focus on the stamp set and framelits to match.

My process is to stamp all the images and color them with my stampin blends to find colors I like best. You will notice the mango Melody and the real red and shaded spruce colors… All new in the holiday catalogue. Doesn’t that mango Melody make the perfect gold color. Also I used petal pink for the skin and light flirty flamingo for the rosy cheeks. I did all this coloring at work on Friday so on Saturday I set to cutting them all out with the matching framelits.

This is the first card I came up with. Now that background dsp is from the be merry pack from last year’s annual catalogue but since I was just playing around I used it anyway. I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again,. Christmas items never retire in my mind.

Here is the final card I made with this set before moving on. Since Saturday I’ve seen some demos from other demonstrators and I can’t wait to see what others come up with. I hope you’ve enjoyed what I’ve come up with today and will check back for more of my Christmas play.
