Last year I joined my sister in this really awesome project called December Daily. As far as I know the concept came from Ali Edwards but a lot of people take part and have made it there own. Last year I did not have any of Ali Edwards product because I started to late in the game so I used what I had and that was mostly stampin up. This year I did buy Ali Edwards kit, however, because I’m a stampin up demonstrator I will be incorporating Stampin Up as much as possible. I’m going to share most of my days with you here hopefully. You will have to forgive me if I miss some, but I will do my best.
This is my cover page. I got the album from Ali Edwards. The deer sticker came from Michaels as well as the alpha and the numbers.
It took me a really long time to decide what I was going to do for my first page which is traditionally a reason why or intentions page. In the end I copied another crafty lady who is part of the December Daily Facebook page. The words are obviously mine but the idea of using the tag was hers. I really would like to give her credit here however I can’t remember what her name was and there are way too many posts to scroll through to find it, if you know who it was let me know please.
The green page is from the feed your craft kit that Brandi Kincaid designed called comfort and joy I believe.
And now for my day 1 page.
My kids have elves and this year for Dec 1 their elves brought them a gift. They each got their own supplies to do December Daily with me and they were thrilled. They absolutely could not wait to get started. It fills my heart so much that they are all in with this project with me.
For my second story I wrote about wrapping presents. This is very much a part of my Christmas tradition that I enjoy so it has to be included.
Sorry this has been a long one today. I will try to keep you posted more regularly. Thanks for joining me and I hope that you’ll continue with this project with me. Leave me a comment to let me know you’ve been here I’d love to hear from you!!!
Bring on the Merry!
Hello and Thank you for joining Global Stamping Friends Blog hop today!
Christmas is my favorite season and what’s more, today, is my birthday. I think it’s a wonderful birthday present to have a blog hop fall on my birthday with the theme of my favorite season, so here we go.
For this month’s projects, I have decided to share two with you because one is made with product that is totally retired… however in my heart and home Christmas product never retires.
Here is the first card.
I love this card! I love the colors and I love the ornaments. Recently I went to a Stampin up sale and I bought some retired Christmas sets that were before my time as a demonstrator, these ornaments were from that set, and the background stamp is my favorite from last year. I’m not going to give the details of this card because the product is retired, but I wanted to include it because I don’t just make cards to showcase the product to have people purchase from me, I actually use all my product personally. I love my Christmas sets and to me they are timeless.
My second card.
This card kind of happened by accident. I was playing with some masks and embossing paste and I used old olive cardstock thinking I would put trees or something on it as a Christmas card, but when I was done I HATED it. I wished I had done it in a different color because I had wanted it to represent the sky, well the sky is blue, not green so back to the drawing board, however, I didn’t want these card bases to go to waste so I had to think on how to use them.
I absolutely love the coffee cafe bundle as well as the merry cafe stamp set so I cut the large cup and the medium cup from the same designer series paper I just flipped one over. I really appreciate that the front and back of a sheet of dsp tend to coordinate. The snowflake is one of our foil snowflakes flipped over to the very vanilla side. I also added some dazzling diamonds glitter to the embossing paste to make it look more like snow. I don’t know why, but this card just seems to speak coziness to me. There is nothing cozier than a cup of hot chocolate on a cold day. I love how it turned out and I love that I didn’t have to waste the card base.
